Community Grants

COMMUNITY GRANT – APRIL 2017

INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS

The team at Gen Health Hamilton are passionate about strengthening the health of our local community.

Formed by a team of 4 local girls, we are proud to live in and support the ongoing development of the Hamilton district. The Gen Health Community Grants have been launched to assist local clubs and organisations meet the financial requirements of their projects.

We want to ‘give back’ to the community to enable the continual growth of opportunities in our region. There will be two rounds of funding provided each year. The total amount available for each round is $1000 – this may be awarded as a whole or split between worthy recipients.

Applications are open to all clubs and organisations within the Greater Hamilton region. We are particularly looking to support projects that will provide an ongoing benefit to the community. In general, we will not be able to fund recurring operational expenses, the repayment of debts or projects that have already been completed.

This April, we are introducing an INDIVIDUAL component to the Community Grant Application.  We are looking to assist an individual by contributing $1000 towards acquiring a new skill that will benefit the community.

Our hope is our donation will help advance this person as a community leader. Individuals’ can apply for themselves or alternatively community groups can nominate a member.

Do you know someone who wants to:

  • Complete a sports trainer course so that you can help at your local sporting club
  • Train as a lifeguard for the local pool in summer
  • Complete your first aid qualifications, so you can be the first aid rep for your community group
  • Complete leadership skills training

There are many possibilities, as long as it will benefit the community – it’s on the list!

Application is via completing the application form as well as a 30sec video clip outlining how your newly gained skill will benefit the community to admin@genhealthhamilton.com.au. Applications that correctly meet the selection criteria (as per form) will then be put to public vote via our Facebook page (including your video).

The next round of the Gen Health Community Grants is NOW OPEN and will close at 5:00pm Friday 5th May 2017. Successful applicants will then be contacted by phone on Friday 12th May.

Please contact our team at Gen Health Hamilton on 5571 9923 with any further questions.
