Who we are
Gen health Hamilton is a modern, collaborative approach to allied health care, unlike any clinic in the region.
Formed by a team of 4 local girls, Kelly Thomas, Stephanie Lamont, Melanie Roll and Jessica Fishburn, we combine podiatry, physiotherapy and clinical Pilates to revolutionise the management of your acute injury or chronic illness.
As young allied health professionals working in country practice, we know that a team approach leads to better outcomes.
In the past, with health disciplines working solo, you were required to source your own care, piece by piece.
We thought....Wouldn't it be great if there was a clinic that offered complete one-stop care?
Where communication between practitioners happened instantly?
Where expertise from different disciplines could be sought on the spot?
No clinic-hopping with paperwork in-hand to repeat your story over again?
It's here that the Gen Health concept was born.
Gen represents 'genesis' for original thinking, 'generational' for complete family care across the ages, 'gen-y' for modern knowledge and technology and 'general' for your total wellbeing.
We're proud to be launching this new brand of health care, for the community we love. Together, we combine the skills, knowledge and passion to give you the health you've always wanted.
Kelly is a local Hamilton girl, leaving only briefly to study podiatry in Melbourne. In 2009 she returned home to commence Fit Feet Podiatry, the first full time private clinic in operation for the Hamilton community.
Commencing at HILAC, and then moving to the current location at 56 Alexandra parade, Kelly has loved the range of clientele a country clinic brings.
Kelly's main passion is preventative health, realising that treating foot problems early is the key to avoiding long term injuries.
It might be a recurring ingrown toenail, or painful blisters when running. In particular young family and children's foot assessment is a favourite.
Kelly is married to Jason Thomas and are kept busy with their golden retriever Hughie, and their two boys Jack and Harvey.
