Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How do I get started?

Please give our friendly reception team a call on 5571 9923 to book an initial appointment for physiotherapy, exercise physiology or podiatry.

It is important that you mention at the time of booking if you are covered by any of the subsidies listed above.

You will be provided with a compensable client agreement to complete ahead of your first appointment.

If you are a WorkCover or TAC patient seeking Podiatry or Exercise Physiology services, a valid referral from a Medical Practitioner is required.

Physiotherapy under WorkCover or TAC does not require a referral.

What do I need to bring?

The main information we require is your date of injury and your claim number.

The name of your insurer, case manager’s contact details and your employer’s information are also very helpful.

If you have a referral from your General Practitioner or Healthcare Provider, please also supply this for Exercise Physiology or Podiatry services.

How much does it cost?

  • Initial physiotherapy or podiatry appointment (30 mins) - $95 ($91 concession)

  • Initial Exercise Physiology appointment (45 mins) - $95 ($91 concession)

  • Standard physiotherapy or podiatry appointment (30 mins) - $82 ($78 concession)

  • Standard Exercise Physiology appointment (45 mins) - $85

How do you take payment?

We require payment in full at the time of your appointment. This can be done via credit card, cash or cheque.

Private Health Insurance cannot be used on Compensable appointments.

Gen Health will provide you with a printed or emailed copy of your receipt to be provided to your insurer or employer for reimbursement.

Depending on your insurer, there may be a small gap between our fee schedule and the reimbursement. Check with your insurer for more details.

Can my invoice be sent to a third party (like my insurer or employer) for payment?

Gen Health does not send invoices to third parties for payment. We require payment in full on the day at the time of your appointment.

Can your practitioners complete a Certificate of Capacity for my employer or insurer?

Our practitioners are able to provide a Certificate of Capacity. This can be completed at a cost of $50 in addition to your appointment.

Can your practitioners facilitate Return to Work Case Conferences?

Our practitioners are able to facilitate Return to Work Case Conferences. These can be conducted at a cost of $134.18 in addition to your appointment.

What happens if I cannot attend my appointment?

We require 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel your appointment.

A late notice fee of $30 applies for cancellations within this timeframe.
